Product

Everything a jewellery business runs on

A shared foundation of proper stock control, a pillar each for makers and for traders, and Pro where the two come together. Make, trade, or both.

The foundation

A stock book that keeps up with the counter

Whether you make or trade, it starts here. Every piece carries its weight, purity, cost, status and story – from the moment it exists to the day it leaves.

  • Weight and purity on every item, from 9ct to 24ct plus sterling silver
  • Your own tags – hallmarked, needs-repair, high-value, whatever fits
  • Statuses that match reality: in storage, listed, made, sold, scrapped
  • Search and sort across everything, including days held

Reporting

Answers, not exports

Built-in reporting that stays current as you work – for makers and traders alike.

📈

Weekly and monthly sales

Revenue and profit by week and by month, with channel fees already taken out.

💷

Profit and margin

Real margin per piece and overall, so you know what actually pays – and what only looks like it does.

🧾

Sales ledger

Every sale with its cost, fees and profit. Sold items keep the fee rate from the day they sold, so history never shifts under you.

📦

Stock on hand

What you're holding and what it's worth, at cost and at listed value, whenever you need it.

⚒ For makers

Make it, and know what it really cost

Handmade work usually gets priced on materials, because that's the number you can see. The Workshop module – part of Gilded – makes the rest of the cost visible, and prices from it.

  • Raw materials inventory: metal by weight and purity, stones, findings, consumables
  • Builds consume materials and record bench hours at your labour rate, plus overhead
  • The finished piece lands in inventory at its true cost, with the full costing breakdown attached
  • Recommended per-channel prices that cover cost and margin after fees
  • A "passion pricing" flag whenever a listing covers materials but not your time

On the Maker ($19) and Pro plans.

⚖ For traders

The buy-and-sell toolkit

For the trading side: a melt-value floor under every deal, auction lots that add up, and scrap-vs-sell decided with numbers rather than gut feel.

Scrap vs sell

Every piece has a floor. Price from it.

The melt value sits beside the expected net sale on every item, so buying and pricing start from solid ground – and when the refiner genuinely pays more, you'll know.

  • Melt value from weight, purity and the current spot price
  • Your refiner's fee built into the payout figure
  • Net sale proceeds after each channel's fees, not gross
  • Aged stock and channel comparison, so slow capital never hides

Auction lots

Buy the lot, cost the pieces

Auction buys arrive as one price and a dozen items. Gilded splits it properly.

  • Hammer price and buyer's premium recorded separately – ready for GST treatment
  • Split the total across items evenly or in proportion to weight
  • Allocations must balance to the cent before a lot will save
  • Each item keeps a link back to its lot, house and sale reference

Gilded Pro

Make and trade? Pro is both, in one.

Many jewellers do both – hand-making pieces and dealing in watches, silverware and pre-owned gold. Pro is the Workshop module and the full trading toolkit together, plus the connections that spare you the double entry.

📡

Live precious-metal pricing

Precious-metal spot prices – gold and silver, per gram – feed straight into your melt maths and refresh through the trading day. No more checking a bullion site and typing numbers in.

🛒

Sell through the eBay API

Create and update eBay listings from inside Gilded. When something sells, the sale, fees and buyer details flow back automatically.

🧮

Xero and QuickBooks

Sales, fees and purchases posted to your accounting file as they happen, with the buyer's premium kept separate for your BAS.

Questions

The ones we get asked

Where does my data live?

In AWS, in Australia. Gilded runs as one platform with every customer's data kept separated – your stock book is yours alone, and you can export it whenever you like.

I make my own pieces – does Gilded handle that?

Yes. The Workshop module (part of Gilded, on the Maker and Pro plans) tracks raw materials, builds pieces from them with bench hours costed at your labour rate, and puts the finished piece into inventory at its true cost – with a warning when a listing price covers materials but not your time. See the Workshop page for the full picture.

Which precious metals does Gilded handle?

Gold at 9, 14, 18, 22 and 24 carat, and sterling silver, for both melt maths and live pricing on Pro. Plated and costume pieces are tracked too – they just sit out of the metal calculations.

How much does it cost?

Maker $19, Trader $39 and Pro $89 a month, in Australian dollars, month to month. See the pricing page for a full comparison.
